Look at the Arrow

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Ok, look at these arrows:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Now look to where the arrows are pointing. Do you see it? Do you see the big, blue button that says “Savings Calculator”?

Ok, here are the arrows again:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Now look at the big blue button. There! Now click on the big blue button, and calculate your savings.

This is a new tool from WaterFurnace, and we have been having a blast with it! It’s so much fun to see how much money you can save when you install a WaterFurnace geothermal system. Go ahead, give it a try!! It’s so much fun!

Emmi’s Corner

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Greetings one and all! Did you notice my new picture? I just want you to know that I stood outside in the freezing cold do Molly could take my picture. She tried to get me to smile, but I told her to snap the picture and get on with it. It is very hard to smile when you are standing on a pile of snow and the wind is whipping around your face. Well, I am pleased to report that warmer weather has returned to our town, and I am able to go outside and lay in the sun. It’s one of my favorite things to do, especially when I have a good chew toy. Yessiree, yes sir, give me a chew toy, and a nice patch of sun and I’m good to go for the next couple of hours.

Down here at the office we’ve been busy as bees, well I should say they’ve been busy as bees, since I just supervise their work. They are currently designing and revising and printing our first newsletter, it looks as if it will be a great newsletter, full of information and other fun things. It even features an article about yours truly, and I couldn’t be more excited about that. You can always come down to the office to get my autograph-I’m always here.

Not only will the newsletter be mailed out, but they’re hoping to get in on the website so anyone can read it! It’s a very exciting thing! Be looking for it to come out soon!

Well, I best get going. I have a busy day planned of doing a whole lot of nothing! I’ll see you next week.

Until Then,

~Emmi~

Oh Spring, Where Art Thou??

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

“Spring-eo, oh Spring-eo. Wherefore art thou Spring-eo?

Deny the winter, and refuse the cold. ”

My deepest apologies to any Shakespeare fans out there, well and to Shakespeare himself.

Seriously, though where is the spring? Of course it cracked me up that on the second and third day of spring there is snow on the ground. I shouldn’t be surprised, though. This is normal for Boone. I’m just glad that it’s still March, if it had done this in April, I would be crying several tears into my pillow. Although, it has been known to snow in April, wouldn’t that be hilarious (no, no it would not)?

So, consider the purpose of this post to be a friendly reminder that even though it’s the third day of spring, and there’s snow on the ground, spring really is just around the corner. Before long we’ll be walking barefoot in the grass and enjoying many a cookout at the park. Ahhhh, yes. Spring is coming! Here is a lovely picture of some spring flowers (in case you’ve forgotten what they look like):

Just remember, it won’t be long…

It’s Monday, and it’s Cold…

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

That’s right, I just took Emmi outside and noticed that the temperature had dropped. Oh great, here we go again. Although the good thing about March snow is that it comes and goes in, what seems like, mere seconds. In reality it’s more like a day, but it seems like seconds.

So, consider this to be your friendly reminder that colder weather is quickly approaching. But take heart! It’s almost the end of March, and that means April is coming up! It looks as if we are in the home stretch of the incredibly long winter. Stay warm, friends.

Talk with you on Wednesday,

Molly

Think Again, Kermit!

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

Since today is St. Patrick’s Day, we thought we would celebrate “Green Technology”! Here’s some interesting information about geothermal heating and cooling!

When Kermit sang those now infamous words “It’s not easy to be green” he obviously didn’t know about WaterFurnace geothermal systems. Because it is so easy to be green with one of these fantastic, state of the art WaterFurnace system. You’ll also save some green (these systems have been known to cut utility bills in half!). Because these systems use renewable energy, your home will be comfortable all year long. By using green technology, your system works with the environment, not against it, by burying the earth loops underground (where the temperature doesn’t fluctuate) you will heated air in the winter, and cool air in the summer. All while helping the environment, your home, and your wallet!

So I’d say that Kermit might want to change his song. It’s really easy to be green! With a WaterFurnace geothermal system.

If you’d like to know more about geothermal please call us at 828-264-6625. We’d love to talk with you!

Emmi’s New Picture

Monday, March 15th, 2010

As promised, Emmi has a new picture ready for you to see! As you can see, Emmi has grown so much since the last time her “portrait” was taken. I won’t keep you in suspense any longer, here is the newest picture of Emmi!

Now I might be a little biased, but I still think she is one of the cutest dogs I’ve ever seen. Emmi has a lot of personality, and is such fun to have around the office and at home. We hope you’re enjoying Emmi as much as we are.

See you on Wednesday!

I can’t see you! Seriously, I cannot see you, I’m lost in a sea of fog! I woke up this morning and found that I could barely see 3 feet in front of me. It was sort of scary, but NOT as scary as taking my bath the other night. It was my third bath ever, and I think I hated it more this time than the last two. First of all, the put me in a utility sink and ran warm water over me. After I was sopping wet they squirt some sort of purple goo into their hands and put the purple goo all over my little body. Thankfully the purple goo smells nice or I would’ve been out of there in a flash. They call the purple stuff “shampoo”, but I’m sticking with goo. I really don’t mind when they put the goo on my body, it kind of feels good. I mean, what dog doesn’t like to be rubbed, scrubbed, and petted? It’s the part after the purple goo that I can’t stand. Once I’m all “lathered up” (their words, not mine), they think it’s fun to put me back under the running water to “rinse me off” (again, their words, not mine) I hate, hate, hate this. Since I hate it so much, I thought it would be fun to try and jump out of the sink :-) unfortunately, my sister (Molly) held me in the sink and made me rinse off. However, I did manage to get her soaking wet by the time my bath was done, so not all was lost.

After my bath was over they (finally) took me out of the sink and wrapped me in a towel. Now I don’t like to think of myself as a spoiled baby, (Molly here. I need to step in and say that Emmi is one of the most spoiled little dogs I’ve ever met. Of course that’s not my fault ;-) ) but after experiencing that traumatic experience, I let Molly wrap me up in a towel and cradle me like  a little baby. I was all cozy and having warm and fuzzy feelings until Molly told me I looked like a drowned rat. The warm and fuzzies stopped there and I jumped down and shook my little, wet body all over her and the laundry room floor. Ha! That’ll teach her to call me a “drowned rat” again.

Once I was all dry, I realized that I was very, very tired, so I crawled up in my Master’s lap (Winston), and he held me like a baby and rocked me in his recliner until I fell fast asleep. I still don’t know why people tell me I’m spoiled, I don’t live an out of the ordinary life. I was sleeping the sleep of angels until Molly woke me up by kissing my forehead. So I did my duty, gave her an appreciative lick on the hand and went back to sleep. Man, it’s tough being a dog.

Thank you for listening to my tale. I appreciate it more than you know.

Lot’s of Love,

Emmi Lou

P.S. I don’t have a picture of me today because we are in the process of getting a new one. I thought I would keep y’all in suspense cause I’m sneaky like that. I’ll see you next week with an updated photo of yours truly.
