Well, folks it seems that I’m famous. Yes, I know, I’m only five months and people are already clamoring for my attention. Just today I was told that I was needed for an interview, so of course I said yes. I fluffed up my fur, put on my best collar, and sat down for the interview you will now read…I tell you, it’s not easy to be me.

Human Interruption: Hello everyone, this is Molly, listen Emmi would like to make you think that some grand magazine or newspaper has asked to interview her. Well, that’s not true. The only person wanting to interview her is me, yes, me. Anyway, just thought I should clear that up. Still you should see Emmi, I’ve never seen a dog tease her fur that way…

Interview with Emmi Lou Petrey:

Molly: Emmi, thank you for joining me today.

Emmi: Well, dahlin’ it’s for the fans

Clearly, she’s let the “fame” go to her head

M: Okaaay, um tell us what you’ve been up to these days.

E: Well dear, the usual just eating and sleeping and making every one’s day a bit bright at the offices of Mountaineer Heating and Cooling.

M: Well it sounds like you’ve been busy. What is going on at the offices of MHC?

E: Well, dahlin’ we’ve been up to our elbows in Maintenance Membership Agreements, they’re the latest fashion you know.

M: Really? I did not know that. Tell me more about them.

E: It’s simply the rage! The rage I say!

M: Ok, I think we’ve go that. Now, could you please tell me about them?

E: Well, honey they’re all about keeping you and your family comfortable and safe. It ensures that you will not have to worry about your comfort system. You can know that it is running at its maximum efficiency.

M: Well, that sounds very interesting. Do you personally have a Maintenance Membership Agreement?

E: Do cats like catnip? Oh honey, of course I have one. I’m thankful I have one too, especially after this past winter. Not only did the winter wind do damage on my skin and fur, it kept my comfort system running extra hard all the time. That can really wear one down.

M: So it’s important to have your system serviced after it’s been working extra hard?

E: Yes! A million times yes! Not only is it important, it’s advised from the Manufactures themselves! That’s a big deal, honey.

M: Well, Ms. Petrey, you’ve certainly given us a lot to think about.

E: That’s what I do best, dahlin’.

M: Thank you for your time, and information.

E: Don’t mention it, sweetie. It’s my job…

M: Yes, well I think it’s time you be going.

E: Are you kicking me out?

M: No, just telling you gracefully to leave.

E: Oh, well thank you! Thank you evah’ so much!

M: You’re welcome.

And that ends my interview with Molly, it was a grand experience, one that I’ll never forget.

Welcome back to our week-long series on Maintenance Memberships, it’s time for our second post!

Yesterday, I took you on a imaginary journey in which we were going to drive from Boone to California non-stop unless it was for gas. But remember, the car we were driving looked something like this:

Basically, we were going to be driving a death trap. Nothing says FUN like driving a death trap. However, if you got what I was trying to get across, our comfort systems can be similar to this car when we don’t perform routine maintenance.

For today I’m going to talk a little about the benefits of becoming a Maintenance Member, there are some great things that you miss out on if you’re not a Maintenance Member.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to ask you to put on your imagination caps today. No, I think I’ll just use the handy numeric list. Lists are my friends, hopefully they’re yours too!

1. Priority Scheduling: This is a great benefit because it means that you are garaunteed to be put at the top of the list should you need service on your system. It’s also beneficial on the weekends because you are a priority customer!

3. 15% Discount on Repairs if Any Are Needed: This can save so much money!
4. No Hassle Scheduling: You do not have to worry about scheduling your maintenance visit, we’ll call you to remind and schedule your visit!

Part 1

I need you to put on your imagination cap for a minute, please. Are they on? Ok. Let’s imagine we’re going on a trip. Only this is not your ordinary trip, on this trip we’re going to drive from here (Boone) to California. Nonstop. Like I said, not your ordinary trip. Of course, we’ll stop for gas along the way, otherwise we wouldn’t make it. Now, here’s the real fun part. The car we’re driving is 15 years old, never been inspected, tires have never been rotated, oil has never been changed, both brake lights are out, and the brake pedal sticks. “Molly, you’re crazy! We’ll never make it to California on a non-stop trip driving a car like that.” Oh come on! It will be a fun adventure! “Molly, I am not confident that the car will get me to my destination.” Oh, well what would make you confident in the car? “Well, let’s get the tires rotated, and the oil changed, and the brake lights repaired, and an inspection.” Oh, so you want to give your car some much needed maintenace? “Well, yes, I guess I do.”

Ok, so we’re not going on a non-stop trip to California, and I don’t own a car like that (is that even legal to drive?). But if you think about it your comfort system can be just like the car. Except your comfort system runs a lot more than your car, it runs in the winter (and after a winter like the on we’ve just had, it has run extra hard) to keep you warm, and runs in the summer to keep you cool and comfortable. Trust me, it runs alot throughout the year, and just like the car it needs routine maintenance to ensure that it will keep running at its maximum potential. When you give your system routine maintenance, you’re giving it an extended life. We all know that when we take care of our car by routine inspections, oil changed, tires rotated, etc…we’re extending its life, and we’re making our car and the roads safer.
