Mountaineer Heating and Cooling have proudly provided heating and cooling comfort systems in northwestern North Carolina and eastern Tennessee for over 40 years. MHC operated as Mountaineer Sheet Metal until 2009 when we changed our name to better identify with you, our customer. However, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to excellence and superior customer service.
MHC primarily serves the counties of Watauga, Ashe, and Avery, although it isn’t unusual to see one of our trucks outside these areas. We offer a variety of HVAC solutions including heat pumps, air conditioning, furnaces, geothermal and ductless mini-splits for all types of projects—residential, commercial, new construction, replacement, and remodeling. We also offer a full line of accessories including electronic air cleaners, whole-home humidifiers, dehumidifiers, energy recovery ventilators, UV treatment, specialized thermostats, and home automation.
We are proud to partner with Trane, Water Furnace, Mitsubishi Electric, Carrier, Nexia, Aprilaire, Honeywell, NEST (including concierge service) and also offer products from various other manufacturers. Our service department provides diagnostics and repairs to all brands of equipment regardless of who it was installed by and offers after-hour, emergency on-call assistance 7 days a week.
